A Fairytale Stay at a Castle

Our family embraced the enchanting atmosphere at this marvelous castle retreat. The comfortable four-poster bed and cozy open fire created a magical ambiance. Don’t miss breakfast served in beautiful Emma Bridgewater pottery, a delightful touch! The cinema room was the highlight for our kids. they loved it!

The afternoon tea was delightful, while the lack of dinner options was disappointing.

We had a fantastic stay with an incredible four-poster bed and an amazing afternoon tea experience that was simply the best! The service was exceptional and very genuine.

Stayed in a suite with a four-poster bed, adding a touch of elegance to the room. The highlight was definitely the spacious bathroom with a huge tub, perfect for unwinding after a long day.

Felt a bit underwhelmed since it was billed as a five-star experience, but it didn't quite hit those marks for me. Dinner options could have been more varied. while what was available was superb, I found myself wishing for a few more selections. the wi-fi was painfully slow, making it tricky to get anything done online.

We had an amazing time exploring the castle grounds, with plenty of unique nooks to discover. The breakfasts were superb, especially after a long night of fun and games with the kids. The staff were friendly and made sure we felt at home.

My kids wished there were more family activities or games available.

augill castle was super cool for our family! the kids loved exploring, and i loved how comfy the beds were. breakfasts were great, and it was awesome to be in a castle. we even got to chill with other guests at dinner which was a nice touch! lots of space for everyone to relax.

The room had a nice four-poster bed, a large seating area, and a private bathroom with a shower. The honesty bar was cool, providing snacks and drinks anytime. Breakfast included freshly baked croissants and good coffee. The lounge area with open fires made it cozy and welcoming.

Staying at Augill Castle was an unforgettable experience! The Pendragon room was luxurious with its stunning four-poster bed and beautiful garden views through the leaded windows. My family loved the relaxed atmosphere where we could explore the castle freely, and the communal dining created a friendly ambiance. Breakfast had mouthwatering options, especially the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon!

An enchanting experience with a stunning setting that feels like a fairy tale. The generous breakfast options included buttery croissants and were of excellent quality. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the old TV didn’t add to the charm. While the service was superb, the fields to explore could be improved for better views.

It was just a great match for a brief stop-in in Kirkby Stephen with outstanding value for money. The huge reception area with a comfy wood burner was a perfect spot to relax. Make sure to ask about the local attractions when you arrive.
